Do you find Call of Duty: Black Ops II to be difficult? Do you wish you could play like the pros, or at least get an edge on your competition? If so, this is the guide for you - read on to find out how to get better at the game.

    Play other games in the series, if you can. The Modern Warfare series or first Black Ops game might be good places to get a feel for the Call of Duty element.

    Familiarize yourself with the game play. If a particular weapon or class setup works for you, stick with it. With the new Pick 10 class system, you may be tempted to change everything at once - this is a trick; only change things slightly so you can get acclimated to a different play style.

    Know your objective and attempt to accomplish it. If you're playing Team Deathmatch, focus on getting more kills and fewer deaths. If you're playing Domination, give everything you've got to defending your team's flags and capturing the enemy team's.

    Level up fast . You can unlock better weapons and other useful things such as score streaks or perks at higher levels, and they may give you a winning edge.

    Apply the stock attachment to your weapon. This attachment can be used to strafe to avoid enemy gunfire.

    Strafe left and right, and do a bit of crouching or drop shooting if you can. Its best if this is done behind cover as well. This will increase your chances of survival even more.

  • Play high-xp-yielding games like Kill Confirmed, Domination, or Hard point.

  • Try to find good lobbies - if you can find one that doesn't have a party or high-prestiged players, that's easy pickings for you.

  • Stick with good old Team Deathmatch if you don't know what to do. It's a straight-up fight between your team and an enemy team.
